Pilatus PC 12 For Sale
The Swiss company Pilatus makes the Pilatus PC 12. It is a single-engine turboprop that serves as a
passenger and cargo aircraft. It serves the corporate transport and regional operators market.
The first Pilatus PC 12 took to the air in May 1991. However, it didn't get its Swiss certification until March
1994 due to some modifications required to meet the performance guarantees. In July 1994, it was also approved by
the US Federal Aviation Administration.
The Pilatus PC-12 was designed for single-pilot operations but operators can still choose to add a second flight
crew member. The PC-12 is available in a 9-seater model, a four-seater that also carries freight and a six-seater
version.
The multi-purpose Pilatus PC-12M uses a more powerful electric generation system that lets it use more
power-consuming equipment making it possible for the PC-12M to be suited for flight inspections. It can also serve
as a flying ambulance, used for parachutist drops, aerial photography and aerial surveillance. The PC-12M is called
PC-12 Spectre in the US and serves paramilitary purposes.
